Unsent Unsaid Project - call for submissions

As part of an ongoing project launched in 2002 at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design, I am currently collecting 'unsent' letters.

What's an 'unsent' letter?
An 'unsent' letter is any letter that one has written and not sent. While I am especially interested in letters that were written without the intention of being sent, I would also love the letters that have been gathering dust in your drawer because you simply forgot to mail them. In the past I have received: love letters (both unrequitted and not), letters to deceased relatives rants, apologies, complaints, secret admirer admissions, and letters written for every reason under the sun. Nothing is too banal or dramatic; I appreciate all submissions.

Why do I want them?
I am looking to engage with a new collection of unsent letters in upcoming book and video works. In the past I have used unsent letter submissions in zine, collage and video works and am looking to expand my body of work.

How do I forward letters to the project?
'Unsent' letters can be posted as comments to this posting, or can be forwarded to unsentunsaid@hotmail.com.

The identity of the sender will be kept confidential at all times. I am interested only in the content of the letter, the identity--if included in the submission--will be omitted in any future works.

Please forward copies of any unsent letters you may have kicking around! Thanks!
